4-H Shooting Sports Training
I spent the weekend at the Illinois 4-H Shooting Sports training at Monticello. This is the second training I've attended. I went back in 2010 for rifle, and this weekend I was there for "coordinator". While rifle instructing is something I like to do, coordinator training is something I just needed to have in case we ever need someone else to fill in for our county. In some ways it was like death by powerpoint. In other ways, it was great to share with other counties and discuss ideas. The BEST part of the weekend was getting to try archery and shotgun as a student. Archery was more fun that I ever thought it would be. Shotgun, shooting clays, was HARDER than I ever thought it would be. Oh Honey Dearest, we may need to invest in some more firearms.... :-)
